Harry Potter. If you haven’t heard of him, or the book series, or the films – then I’m not sure where you have been living, the moon no doubt! The books took the world by storm, and it’s rare that you will find someone who doesn’t have a soft spot for this series. Children around the world simply love it, and it has brought reading back to a younger generation which is fantastic. So what are some of aspects of Harry Potter that people love so much
The reason where Harry Potter really does well is in the fact that both adults and children love the series. There is a reason for this, and that is the way in which it is written. Kids love it due to spells, magic, and Hogwarts (school is fun!), but it has a darker side which engages adults a bit more. The tale of good vs evil and the bonds and friendships formed as Harry works his way through his 7 years of wizard training.
Believe it or not, an adult version of the books were released, and the ONLY thing that was changed (the story did not change at all) was the cover of the book. They made it look less ‘childish’ so adults would feel comfortable reading them out in public.
What works great with Harry Potter, is actually hosting a themed birthday party. Getting ideas isn’t hard at all, simply read the books or watch the films again and you will have hundreds! So go online and buy some harry potter birthday party supplies, or perhaps visit your local shopping mall. Get everyone to dress up and come as characters from the books, and think of some fun harry potter games you could play, as well as providing food and drink.
